A Transformative Course in Mantra, Pūjā, and Tāntrik Wisdom

This course is open to all sincere seekers, from beginners taking their first steps into mantra sādhana to Srīvidyā initiates ready to deepen their connection with Mahāgaṇapati, the Supreme Lord of Thresholds.

This immersive course offers a guided path into the worship of Mahāgaṇapati, blending foundational devotional practices with the depth of Tāntrik rituals. Whether you are a newcomer to mantra sādhana or an advanced sādhaka in the Srīvidyā tradition, this course meets you where you are and offers the tools to go deeper.

For Beginners

• Mantra dīkṣā into the foundational Gaṇapati mantra
• Guidance in Gaṇapati Pañcopacāra Pūjā (5-step worship)
• Japa guidance and meditative practices
• Eligibility for Mahāgaṇapati Mantra initiation upon successful completion of preparatory practices
  

For Srīvidyā Initiates

• Step-by-step instruction in Ṣoḍaśopacāra Pūjā (16-step worship)
• Guidance on Gaṇapati Tarpanam, the ritual of offering to the higher Self through the deity
• For those who have already received and practiced tarpaṇam, advanced methods of Mahāgaṇapati worship will be taught, including nyāsa, japa, yantra pūjā and homa.

Please note: Srīvidyā initiates from other lineages must have explicit permission from their Guru to participate in this course.

Initiation on Gaṇeśa Caturthī (and Beyond)

On this auspicious day, students who have completed the preliminary sādhana may request dīkṣā into the Srīvidyā Mahāgaṇapati Mantra. This is a rare and potent initiation into the Lord of Mantras as the guardian of Tāntrik wisdom.

For those who enroll after the start date, recordings of the course materials will be available and other auspicious days (such as during Navarātra) will be set for initiation and continuation into advanced practices.

Please note that a minimum of 21 days of preliminary practices must be completed before initiation.

IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT INITIATION

There is no fee for initiation since mantras are not for sale.

Initiation is neither required nor guaranteed. Mantra initiation depends on several factors, including the capacity of an individual practitioner and their energy, which is assessed in non-linear ways.

The course fee is not for initiation but for the extensive course materials and teachings on the gross, subtle and deeply esoteric understanding of Mahāgaṇapati from various perspectives - mystical, scientific, somatic, and grounded in practicality, and for the practice manuals, instructional materials, and other resources. 

Participating in this course does not automatically grant qualification for initiation. While anyone can participate in the preliminary practices, Śrīvidyā practices such as tarpaṇam, yantra pūjā and homam require initiation.

Additionally, all subsequent Śrīvidyā initiations (Bālā Tripurasundarī, Pañcadaśī, etc) are by invitation only after having satisfactorily completed each stage of practice and if the practitioner is deemed to be qualified. This is non-negotiable.

Please note that these practices are gifts to be treasured and not amenable to transactions or demands. 

The Śrīvidyā pathway practiced and taught at Svatantra Institute follows classical Śrīvidyā texts such as the Paraśurāma Kalpa Sūtra, as well as the nuances of the oral practice tradition of the lineage.
