Fractals of reality

In this book, the esoteric wisdom of the magnificent Śrīcakra or Śrīyantra, which is a diagrammatic representation of the cosmic unfolding, is explored from a practical standpoint and its immediate application in daily life.

Fractals of Reality offers us a highly practical and applicable approach to the Śrīcakra where it becomes immediately accessible and useful as the map of the microcosm that reflects the macrocosm. All of life comes together in a cohesive whole.

Glorious Alchemy

The Lalitā Sahasranāma (LSN) that strings together a thousand names of the Goddess opens the mystical door that alchemizes limited paradigms into unbounded love, that arises from the recognition of That which subsumes all divisions and limitations. When we invite the LSN into our inner landscape, it becomes a garland of mantras, where every life experience is rendered sacred because it can be found in the velvety folds of the chant. This kind of practice opens us to uncommon wisdom and sweetness – this is Glorious Alchemy. The commentary in this book is simple and straightforward, retaining the subtleties of the original Sanskrit while being accessible to the modern reader. It takes a non-traditional approach in providing a primer on the Goddess-centered path known as Śrīvidyā in Part I, while Part II threads together the thousand nāmas as it relates to life and personal practice.

Shakti Rising

The ten forms of Shakti known as the Mahavidyas represent not only macrocosmic forces such as time and space, but also various interconnected shadow and light aspects in our psyche. The Mahavidyas have traditionally been steeped in esoteric and mystical descriptions, often removed from the practicalities of the spiritual journey.

BOOK REVIEWS

I love knowing that this book is written by a woman with a scientific background. In case you missed it, she is a respected cardiologist and an academic, writing with perfect clarity and subtlety about the fields of energy which are operating in all the layers of reality from what seems ordinary to the most sublime. The language is easy to read and yet never simplistic. She speaks from her knowledge of biology and psychology as well as her experience of long-term spiritual study and practice.in a number of traditions. The wisdom that emerges is as deep as it is practical. It is power packed from start to finish.

Shakti rising is very clearly written, and surprisingly practical. This is a book (in my opinion) for those of us on an inward journey, who are ready to embrace all that they encounter in doing so.

This is an exceptionally well written book which provides great insights about the Lalitha Sahasranama by covering the background, the philosophy and summarizing the Path to the Devi. This is a meticulously laid out book with information on the non-dual tantric path, followed by the commentary on the LSN and each section has space for contemplation/Bhavana. Based on the sadhaka’s desire, this can be read for information or as a living manual for a lifetime of devoted practice. With lucid illustrations by Rashmi Thirtha Jyoti ‘s and accompanied by access to the chants, this book is a treasure!

I love the minutiae of the mind, and learning new facts about medicine and biological reality, and contemplating different philosophical paradigms…but I also love one simple state of being, and that is bliss. That’s why it’s refreshing to read the bliss prescription in The Heart of Wellness, because Dr. Chinnaiyan illustrates in clear terms how bliss is at the center of our being, and how our lifestyle and health-related choices can get us more in touch with that center.
